Yleiskaavaindeksi sisältää lainvoiman saaneiden hyväksyttyjen yleis- ja osayleiskaavojen aluerajat. Tietokanta sisältää yleistiedot kaavoista kuten kaavan nimen, lainvoimapäivämäärän, tiedon oikeusvaikutteisuudesta (O=oikeusvaikutteinen, H=oikeusvaikutukseton), sekä yleiskaava-aluetta koskevan yleismääräyksen määräyskoodin. Määräyskoodeja vastaavat määräykset ovat erillisessä excel-tietokannassa.
