The indicator gives the mean population for permanent resident Swedish-speaking population (males and females combined). Mean population refers to the average of the population figure at the beginning of the year and that at year end. Those who according to the Population Information System are domiciled in Finland at the end of the year belong to the permanent resident population whatever their nationality, as do Finnish nationals temporarily residing abroad.
