The indicator gives the average number of dental care visits to practitioners other than dentists in health centres per thousand inhabitants aged 18 and over during the statistical year. Oral health care visits in outpatient primary health care for practitioners other than dentists include dental assistant and dental hygienist visits in health-centre dental care units. In addition to clients'/patients' dental care consultation visits to practitioners other than dentists, dental care visits in outpatient primary health care for practitioners other than dentists here also include visits by practitioners other than dentists to clients/patients. The population data refer to year-end data. Population proportions are calculated at THL based on the Population Statistics of Statistics Finland.
