    The indicator gives the number of care days during the year for clients in residential homes for older peopleResidential home care:Institutional care for older people in social care (the unit has been defined as an institution by the Social Insurance Institution) Care days during the year refers to all care days falling within the calendar year. The number of care days is calculated as the difference between the date of discharge (or 31 Dec) and the date of admission (or 1 Jan), that is, excluding the day of discharge. If the date of discharge and the date of admission are identical, the number of care days will be one.
