The indicator gives the number of criminal offences, violations and reckless driving, suspects aged 0-14, per 1000 people of the same age. The population data refer to year-end data. The number of suspects is not the same as the number of people found guilty. Legislation sets the age limit for criminal responsibility at 15. Offences committed by persons under 15 can only lead to measures specified in the Child Welfare Act.Population proportions are calculated at THL based on the Population Statistics of Statistics Finland.
