Aineisto kattaa Liikenneviraston ylläpitämän maantieverkon. Viheralueet sisältävät yleensä useita viherkuvioita. Viherkuvioista inventoidaan tyyppi, pinta-ala ja kunto. Viherkuviot kuvataan Tarkennuksia: - Kustakin viheralueesta tehdään yleiskartta, josta ilmenee alueen kuviot (kuvionumerot) sekä tiedot mistä kohdasta valokuvat on otettu. Kuviot numeroidaan alkaen numerosta 1 kullakin viheralueella. - Niitettävät nurmialueet inventoidaan omiksi kuvioikseen ja niille lasketaan pinta-ala. Niitettävä alue lasketaan Viherhoito tieympäristössä -ohjeen mukaisesti. - Sekakuvioksi merkitään alue, jossa on pensaita tai puita niitettävän nurmialueen sisällä.
