Aineisto kattaa Liikenneviraston ylläpitämän maantieverkon. Ajoradan leveydellä tarkoitetaan tien ajoneuvoliikenteelle tarkoitetun osan leveyttä. Päällystetyillä teillä ajorata on usein erotettu pientareista valkoisella reunaviivalla. Jos reunaviiva puuttuu, on ajoradan leveys päällystetyillä teillä sama kuin päällysteen leveys, ellei päällystekerroksen tms. perusteella näy selvästi, että osa päällysteestä kuuluu pientareeseen. Sorateillä ei piennarta ole, joten ajoradan leveydeksi ilmoitetaan koko tien leveys. Kuvaustekniikka perustuu: ALEV ajoradan leveys (dm)
