The indicator gives the care days for clients aged 0-17 who have received institutional care during the year in detoxification and rehabilitation units operated as part of care and services for substance abusers. As used herein, institutions operated as part of care and services for substance abusers refer to institutions approved by the Social Insurance Institution as institutions providing care that entitles to a rehabilitation allowance, and to all detoxification units. Care days during the year refers to all care days falling within the calendar year. The number of care days is calculated as the difference between the date of discharge (or 31 Dec) and the date of admission (or 1 Jan), that is, excluding the day of discharge.
